The BEBOP album is pure straight-ahead jazz with REAL acoustic bass played by renowned bass specialist Dave Carpenter.

We are all saddened by the news of his untimely death only 48 years old, June 24, 2008.

So how many bassists play upright and electric bass extremely well like each is the main ax? Dave was one of only a few in any era. Man, he played his ass off and was a great guy!!! - Jay
